  1. The annotation overlap across the pathways illustrates the functional overlap of these pathways. Sucrose is degraded into fructose and trehalose is degraded into glucose, prior to cellular import [35]. Mannose and fructose are both transported into the cell by hexose transporters and degraded into Fructose-6-phosphate.
